Game makes money entirely by selling cosmetics... entitled 12 y.o crying on the forum about 20pounds OPTIONAL outfits...
Nothing to see here i guess.
There wouldn't be any complains if the cosmetics in-game weren't limited to the first 5 armors you get while leveling.. And the others are bad on purpose. Even a nugget like you would have to understand that limiting whats in game in favor of the shop and then putting ridiculously expensive prices + rotation is bad for business. There are MMORPGs where half the game is based around farming/crafting/looting cool armors and they have been surviving on that alone for over a decade.
1) This is post is a complain about them (the publishers or the developers) putting the prices in the store for 25$ and not 13$ or 7$(in uk equivalnet to 20 pounds , 10 pounds and 5 pounds), not a post complaining about the quality of the ingame outfits or the bad rotations. [Just for reference to the EU server that is in the EUROPEAN Union ! Where you can work for 2 or 3 hours (at minimum wage, flipping burgers, with 0 life skills) and be able to afford the most expensive outfit].
2) The way the outfits look in game is subjective, but i think most of them are not great (personal opinion !!!) i think the only ones that look good are the faction outfits and the class outfits... and in the future some of the armors, and they do look better then most cash shop costumes.
3) The rotation of the cash shop is horrible, i too dislike this so very much... but from a bussiness standpoint this is more profitable, every single MMO does it for a reason.
Like it or not its a game that doesnt sell power, so they will sell fashion, if u dont like that you can play lost ark or elyon and have good looking armors in game and the only thing u give up is leveled playing field (they not only sell power but also fashion xD, for the record i like both of those games and i think their bussiness model is much smarter and better and the prices will match the ones found in SOLO we know that already).
This is the gaming industry!!! U dont like it make ur own game, or dont play games crying about it is not going to change anything because there are plenty of us paying to make those of u that complain not matter.
You speak for no one but yourself. Should keep that in mind. Market research to determine price points is a real thing, understanding value propositions is a real thing, giving feedback is a real thing. No one is "Crying" about anything.
The average price of cosmetic items tends to be 8-12 dollars for costumes. Mounts are 15-20. This game in many cases exceeds that pricepoint. Given their userbase, they are assuming these pricepoints will maximize their profits, but I haven't seen data in my many years of working in the games industry, support this. Unless of course you're assuming prices based on what an outfit would be worth at a <1% chance in a lootbox. Then these are a steal.
The game is higher priced than normal, providing feedback on a per color sku in app purchase for their pricepoint is exactly the kind of feedback they need. They have metrics to see how much they're making and why. The main complaints on Steam reviews are 1) Translations 2) Price of cosmetics
The pricing of half of the costumes in the store at the moment is slightly higher than what the $20 pack would be, which forces some one to 1) buy the higher pack 2) make multiple purchases. It's incredibly inconvenient and impacts the perception of cost. Aligning these and making the pricepoints more palatable will lead to more conversions overall.
Either add something to the discussion or move out of the way. You've already trolled your opinion.
