• Who is Lingjian Sect?
- First starting off as a figment of imagination inside the mind of Sect Leader Wang Wu (WangWu/Wu) and configured as a Hybrid of the drama "Once Upon a Lingjian Mountain" and the Manhua and Donghua "Spirit Blade Mountain" we have evolved in knowledge and prowess during CBT1, CBT2, and Steam Next 2021!
- Lingjian Sect has multiple objectives. The first is to assist you in becoming a knowledgeable player, the second is to provide you with a support team of contrasting personalities that are connected by our guild's edicts, and the third is to clear PvE and PvP content as an alliance/sect!
• What does Lingjian Sect offer?
- A PvX community, we are a group of individuals that focus on all aspects of Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) including PvE content, PvP content, crafting, gathering, housing, fishing, alliance-based activities, other events.
- Active Discord communication. Even if some of us are not available to be in-game most members and officers are active on the discord around the clock.
- A set of concrete Alliance/Guild Guidelines that are built to last and to allow everyone to have fun while in their parameters.
- We offer discord-based self-assignable roles that can help you define your playstyle or that have other functions. Also, we have roles for experienced players like Tactician and Head Disciple that allow an alliance member/Lingjian Sect disciple upward mobility in the form of proven knowledge.
- We have experienced leaders and with this comes wisdom that cannot be faked. When a group has a solid set of like-minded individuals that come together for the better of the community a lot more can get accomplished in ways of event planning, recruitment, etc.
- Lastly, we have knowledgeable players. Some of our members have played MMORPGs in the past while specializing in various areas of gameplay. Also, our alliance was an active participant during CBT1, CBT2, and Steam Next 2021.
• Who made Lingjian Sect and how does it function?
- Lingjian Sect was established by the founding Sect Leader, Wang Wu - a seasoned MMORPG veteran. However, Sect Leader Wang Wu (WangWu/Wu) does not run things alone as the Sect's backend system functions as a democratic leadership.
- Wang Wu, has only promoted the original 4 Sect Elders (LV2 Officer) and has no say in the promotion of future officers. Every Sect Elder needs to promote 1 individual to become their Successor Disciple (LV1 Officer) who will among other things, assume their post when the position is otherwise vacant. In other words instead of 1 person selecting officers after the "founding" Sect Elders it is always multiple people selecting others.
• What is required to join Lingjian Sect?
- We press activity in the form of alliance events. According to information from CBT1 and CBT2 most of these events will seem to take 2 hours and are weekly events.
- We have nothing against the speaking of other languages however, whilst communicating with our alliance English will be the primary language.
- Joining the Discord server is required to be a part of Lingjian Sect. This gives everyone a full understanding of our alliance and allows us to share important alliance information. Also, it will help with keeping up with events.
- A working headset is also required to join us. If you do not wish to speak that is okay however, for logistical purposes it is crucial that our Sect Elders, Successor Disciples, Tacticians, and any other person leading events from Lingjian Sect have an open line of communication.
• I'd like to become an ally of Lingjian Sect, how can I go about doing so?
- You can join our discord server and request the guest role. Once you have done that you can contact a Sect Elder and/or the Sect Leader to start a dialogue between our two alliances.
- Please note that we may have some questions for you to better understand your alliance's position as a whole and once we review your answers a Sect Elder Successor Disciple will contact you.
- The next step if we agree to accept you as an ally, will be us dispatching an officer to your communication platform who will become a liaison between our two alliances. Also, we ask that you have a person in mind to dispatch to us.
• I have a question or concern, can I contact Leadership directly?
- Yes you can! Under no circumstances does our leadership turn away reasonable questions, member concerns, or alliance inquiries.
• Are members of the Leadership personable people?
- Yes, the Sect Leader, Sect Elders, and Successor Disciples pride themselves with being active users in our discord server and in our in-game guild. Leadership will always check themselves to make sure they are portraying a certain level of professionalism while in our discord and in-game. We also want our Leadership team to have fun so, its quite the delicate balance.
• I have a real problem with a member of the Leadership, who can I talk to?
- In this case you would contact a person of higher rank. We will always require you to provide credible evidence as we do place great trust in our Leadership.
• I have a problem with a member of Lingjian Sect outside of our alliance, who can I talk to?
- Unfortunately, we do not offer in-house counseling for matters outside of our jurisdiction. If it happens in Discord DMs you have account options at your own disposal and if it happens in the in-game PMs you have GF Customer Service that you are free to contact.
• I'm sold! How can I join Lingjian Sect?
